The Universal Lakefront Tiny house 6 Month Rentals

Positive: Nothing Negative: Upon arrival the code didn't work to get the key ,which upon calling it was placed under door mat. Neighbors in really close proximity were hanging around and smoking. Didn't feel comfortable. Next the door wouldn't lock. Once in the tiny home it wasn't as clean as advertised and there was a bad smell. Informed contact of issues, person on sight arrived and messed with lock multiple times to try to get it to work, said he'd have maintenance address the next morning. I told them it was unsafe and unacceptable. We decided at this time to find a different place to stay and would like a refund. The next afternoon was contacted by tiny homes who said they had found a dead animal under tiny homes and it was ready for us to come back. Only problem was we had moved on with another place to continue our trip. Fast forward, 18 days later with multiple hours spent on the phone with booking.com still no refund. I would not recommend booking at tiny homes or using booking.com, very disappointed! At this point I've lost over $1800 for which was supposed to be a fun and relaxing family vacation!

OLD, ant infested tiny home next to a beautiful view. Positive: The scenery/location on the lake was nice. It would have been better to be able to see it from our front stoop. The bushes blocked the view. Negative: We didnt like that it looked dingy and run down. It looked like the cleaning was typically a rush job, not ever being thoroughly done. Next, the couch was in horrible condition. My friend brought in her air mattress and slept on it on the floor after attempting to sleep on the couch one night. It needs to be replaced. Third, there was no door or curtain for the restroom which was awkward for the second loft. Fourth, the stairs to the main loft were at very uneven heights which made it dangerous. The last step was too close to the wall and you couldnt put your foot down. One time i missed a step going down and fell backwards from a yard heighth. The lighting for the loft would flicker sometimes and not work sometimes. It was dangerous to climb down with inadequate lighting. Lastly, the home was overrun by ants. They appeared mainly upstairs. I counted over 300 on my bed on our third night. Literally- not an exaggeration. It was so bad we left after the third night, instead of staying our 5 nights.

awesome sauce Positive: everything! the slightly hidden location made it feel like an oasis, super responsive and accommodating, and just some beautiful views. Negative: the heron ceiling was a bit low but it's a tiny home.

Positive: The host was super friendly and answered all my questions. Close to the venue we were going to. The fire pit was super cute! The view was great from our rental. Negative: The lock on the door did not lock. It only locked from inside so we stored all our things in our vehicle while we were out of the home. (Host explained that they ordered a replacement, but it was still a little unnerving) The water heater is small, so it took a half of shower to run out. One of the sleeping lofts had a mattress that did not fit the space. There was a lamp that had no light bulbs in it. It was just for decoration. The lights on the ceiling did not have a way to be turned on.

Curious about tiny homes. Booked for a birthday getaway. It was amazing! It was on a lake with amenities. More freedom than staying in a hotel. Would definitely recommend a stay at this tiny home!
